San Gil is a town municipality in the Department of Santander in northeastern Colombia. Founded in 1689, San Gil is over 300 years old. It was officially named t.. Смотреть далее »he tourist capital of the region in 2004, thanks to its outdoor activity opportunities such as rafting, caving, kayaking and hiking. Besides tourism, the region's economy relies heavily on agriculture. Products such as tobacco, sugar cane and coffee are commonly grown in farms nearby which are mainly commercialized in the town's main market plaza.
